I was back home in Key West for a short visit to family and I couldn't visit without taking a few photos. This one is of Dog Beach. Yes, you read that right. This view is looking north past the corner of Louie's Back Yard to the pavilion on the Casa Marina dock.

I have family and friends living in Jupiter, Florida so I picked this tiki hut at a resort on the ocean for this post. It's on the north side of the inlet and this view is from Duboise Park on the south side of the inlet. It looks so inviting and I thought it would make a good drawing.
As I've done in the past, I've decided to do three drawings of the same subject using different finishing techniques. Here's the second of the subject of my last post.
Since I've gone over 50,000 views I'm going to try to post with more regularity. Here are some tourists I saw when I was down in Key West visiting family. Not sure why but this dad with his two kids caught my eye. I just hope they don't stop in at Sloppy Joe's Bar.

I'm working on a studio painting and I wanted to get some preliminary work in. So why not make it into a finished drawing? I need to post more here anyway. Spoonbills are a lovely and exotic water bird we have here in south Florida and they're also native to the wetlands of South America. I saw some on my way to Key West and couldn't resist getting a few pics.
