I saw this scene on Key Largo in the Florida Keys. I know you can't read the sign but, it reads 'Poison Wood Road'. I couldn't resist doing this one. Yes, it's a real road on Key Largo.

This scene kind of gives you a feeling of a lazy afternoon, doesn't it?.

Here's the last version of the bird and horse. This setup worked well for me.

Third and last drawing of the apples. I took a more creative approach on this one, owing to Pablo Picasso and Marc Chagall among others..

Day/drawing two of the apples still life. A different stylistic approach.

Tuesday, February 5, 2013

It seems like a good time for a three part still life. Here's part one.

Monday, February 4, 2013

Saw this at an old shopping district. I think it captures the atmosphere of the place.

Sunday, February 3, 2013

Here's an Ibis at a very low tide among the sponges and a Mangrove pup.. When the tide gets that low the sponges are actually exposed on the flats.

Saturday, February 2, 2013

Kind of a different approach to still life on this one, both in composition and styling

.

Progress takes over some farmlands. I watched these guys over time. They created several different kinds of paving finishes with different kinds of cement. I thought it was interesting.
