Time again for some figure work.

The simplicity of the underlying abstract shapes attracted me to this composition.

It's hard to resist drawing a scene like this. I saw these in the Florida Keys.

I saw these farmlands recently. Haven't done a horizontal landscape in a while. I tried a loose approach to deal with all the foliage.

The last drawing of this subject. The finishing style owes a debt to Marc Chagall.

Another go at the percussion instruments. This one with a finishing style influenced by a Picasso painting technique.

The style on this one was influenced by some of Pablo Picasso monoprints. I simulated the look with the pencil work.

Saw this out of the corner of my eye. I thought the underlying shapes would make a good composition.

For some inexplicable reason I've always wanted to depict one of these valves. The drawing is not technically correct. I left out some smaller parts because they didn't help the composition.

As you can see, I used a more creative treatment on this one.

Saw these shorebirds on Smathers Beach in Key West at a very low tide.

Here's a portrait of my mother. The flamingo she holds was given to her by her brother, Gene who passed away years ago.

I call this one 'Not Right Now". I used one of Pablo Picasso's finishing treatments on this one.
