It's been a while since I posted some figure work. I'll start with this one, with similar styling to some I've done before.

As you can see, I was in a very experimental mood on this one. I started with the abstract patterns and textures then incorporated a little realism after.

Landscaping, control over nature. When done well it can be quite beautiful.

This one caught my eye because of the different shapes and textures. Mostly the organic shape of the banana plant contrasting with the man-made shapes of the awning and window.

It's been about a week, time for a figure drawing.

I know this is a quick sketch, but I think it captures the atmosphere of the gig and Randy's love of music and performing.

These are the most gnarled trees I've seen in the area. I guess they have a severe reaction to being trimmed.
